Al-Met is an engineering company which specialises in sourcing and machining tungsten carbide and high grade stainless steels & "superalloys". Crucially these very diverse materials also require "joining" together, we can achieve this by brazing, bonding, mechanical attachment or deposition (or any combination of these) to produce wear resistant (erosion & corrosion) components for flow control and choke valve manufacturers world-wide.

Al-Met’s experience in this market enables us to offer unique assistance from concept, through production, to review of product returned from field conditions.

Al-Met have jointly developed grades of tungsten carbide to enhance performance for extreme service and subsea applications. These grades have been independently tested by major oil companies and are in service globally in many applications. Of course we also offer the full range of standard grades and are happy to assist in the correct grade selection for specific applications.

Al-Met recognise the demands of this market and offer standard lead times of 4 to 5 weeks but have the structure and experience to be able to manufacture products within days for emergency situations. We also have product on contract supply and will consider holding stock items for immediate call off if required.

Al-Met's Quality Management System is approved to ISO 9001: 2000 and all product is fully traceable and certified to customer specification. Al-Met is very conscious of customer confidentiality and has a strict policy to only supply services & products to OEM's.
